Using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in myITreturn

This is an optional free security enhancement in myITreturn.com.

Users often have asked us to increase security of their myITreturn.com account. It is not un-common to see users storing their passwords on the web browser. This means that some other user who has access to the machine can also access the user’s myITreturn.com account. Would it not be great if there is a random password that gets generated on your phone every minute? So, even if  someone knows your password they will not have access to your phone and so your account will always be secure. For this increased security, we recommend that you configure multi-factor authentication (MFA) to help protect your myITreturn account. It is actually very easy. Follow the steps below.

For the geeks: MFA adds extra security because it requires users to enter a unique authentication code generated by the Google Authenticator App installed on an approved authentication device (your smart phone) when they access myITreturn website. The Google Authenticator App generates a six digit numeric code based upon a time-synchronized one-time password algorithm. The user must enter a valid code from the App installed on their smart phone to login on to myITreturn.com.
